You probably know that orthodontic treatment is a way to straighten your teeth and achieve a beautiful smile. But did you know that these aren’t the only benefits? Orthodontic treatment is an opportunity to improve the functionality of the teeth and bite, correct facial imbalance, facilitate better oral hygiene, properly prepare for restorations and/or implants, improve sleep, and boost self-esteem.
Thanks to technological advancements, orthodontics has come a long way. We use the most recent technology, such as a 3D scanner, which eliminates the need for gooey impression materials that are not popular with patients.
We want our patients to experience orthodontics differently. At North Burnaby Dental Group, our goal is to work with our patients to achieve the healthy, beautiful smile that they desire. That’s why we’ve developed a unique collaborative approach that allows us to customize each patient’s treatment plan using the most advanced techniques.
The first step is to come in for a consultation. When you come in for your first appointment, we will go over your concerns with your smile and then discuss all your treatment options so that you can choose the one best suited to you. We make sure you have all the information you need to plan for the next steps.
My team and I strive to provide you with a positive experience and hope to be a part of your orthodontic journey. We look forward to meeting you to get you on your way to a beautiful and healthy smile!

When to see an Orthodontist
We recommend that all children see an orthodontist once they turn 7. There are orthodontic problems that can be addressed or planned for if they are detected early. If your child does not need early treatment, we will monitor their growth and development on a regular basis as part of our recall program. This watchful waiting gives us the opportunity to advise you when the best time is for your child to start treatment.
For our Adult Patients
There is no age limit for a beautiful healthy smile. Over the last decade, orthodontic treatment has become very popular with adults. If you have always thought of having orthodontic treatment but did not pursue it because you didn’t want traditional braces, come in for a consultation to find out if you are a candidate for treatment with Invisalign aligners, which are made of clear plastic.
