Dr. Houchmand is a graduate of UBC with a Degree in Chemistry (B.Sc.) 1989 and a Degree in Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1994. Since graduating, Dr. Houchmand continued to enhance his dental knowledge and skills in the area of Implantology, Cosmetic Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Endodontic (restoration), Invisalign and Dental Surgeries, including periodontal (gum) and wisdom teeth extractions.

 DR. LISA KOSTECKI

Dr. Lisa Kostecki attended McMaster University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry (2000), and received a Master of Science degree in Human Biology and Nutrition from the University of Guelph (2001). Dr. Kostecki graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Western Ontario, Schulich Dental School (2006). She was the recipient of numerous awards during dental training including the UWO Dental Alumni Society 3rd Year Dental Student Award (2004), the Ontario Dental Association Proficiency Award (2005), the Toronto Crown and Bridge Study Club Scholarship (2006) and the Canadian Dental Association President’s Award (2006). She has always been very involved in committees and dental associations in her school and community, and is currently a clinical instructor with the UBC Faculty of Dentistry.
Dr. Kostecki has recently moved to the west coast, and enjoys outdoor adventures in her time away from teeth. Her practice philosophy is that all patients deserve to be treated with dignity and a gentle approach, to obtain optimal health and restore confidence, function and aesthetics. |
 DR. NGHIA HUYNH

Dr. Nghia Huynh completed his undergraduate degree in human biology, with a minor in economics, at the University of Toronto. Subsequently, he attended dental school at the University of Western Ontario, and graduated with awards in operative dentistry as well as prosthodontics.
After practicing for three years in the Toronto area, Dr. Huynh has now moved to Vancouver to explore the beauty and culture of the West Coast. He has quickly gained the confidence of his new patients with his clinical expertise and kind humour, qualities he has also brought to his volunteer work at a Downtown Eastside dental clinic. Dr. Richard Migicovsky graduated from the University of McGill with a Dental Degree (DDS) in 1978. He then attended the University of Manitoba to receive his specialty degree in Periodontics in 1982.
Dr. Migicovsky has been practicing at North Burnaby Dental Group since 1986 where he has been addressing the periodontal needs of the Burnaby & Heights community.

 DR. AMIR AJAR

Dr. Amir Hassan Ajar graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Anatomy in 1991 and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) in 1995. Upon completion of his degree, Dr. Ajar focused on dental surgery and postgraduate training in hospital programs designed to improve his surgical skills. These involved rotations in departments of oral and maxillofacial surgery, anesthesiology, internal medicine, general surgery, emergency medicine, surgical intensive care and pain medicine. Since moving to the Lower Mainland in 2004, his practice is limited specifically to dental surgery and implants using all forms of sedation. Dr. Ajar has lectured at the University of British Columbia, University of Alberta, University of Calgary and McGill University, he currently serves as an instructor at the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC. He holds memberships in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. |
